Passanger side projector wont light up

Just made a thread about the halos on my brand new gen 1's, the driver side works perfect, and the passanger side also works perfect (turn signals, high beams, etc) but the projector will not turn on, everything is attached correctly and i tried to use a ballast from my old HID kit with no luck.

anyone got any ideas??

thanks

well your options kinda lie in either a bad bulb, ballast, fuse or ground(if you have a relay).. so test it and see what it could be by trial by error..

well it was a plug-n-play set up so i dont believe there is a relay, and i already tried another ballast that works perfect. like i said ill check the fuse but my passanger side HID worked fine before i installed this one. so I guess it might be a bad bulb

welp just switched the headlight fuse and no luck....guess its a bad bulb. i would have thought that the vendor would have tested them before shipping out..

I had this same problem. Got a set of retrofit lights and the drivers side worked perfect but the passanegr side would only work in high beam mode. turned out that the wiring harness was pinned incorrectly so i had it repinned

the hid bulb is only connected to the ballast though? through the 2 circle shaped input/outputs

retrofits are different though, high beam and low beam come from the same bulb i believe

ya sounds like a bulb issue. id also double check it by plugging it in the drivers side just in case its wiring.

switch the bulbs & ballast
whichever the problem stayed with is the bad one

where did you get the HIDs from?

welp it is not the bulb, i did what empjj recommended and took out both headlights and hooked up the driver side light (working) to the passenger side wiring and the bulb wouldnt light up. like i said i have tried another ballast so it has to be the wiring.

does this sound like an issue with the 9007 plug? im pretty sure thats the only thing that affects the low/high beam.

well if you're sure it's not a blown fuse, ballast or bulb, start tracing wires, check each connection and looks for burns/melting. Somewhere along the line there has to be something disconnected, broken, or melted.

will do, but my old HID's worked perfectly fine so im assuming is has to be a problem with a wire/connector that came connected to the HID....so i dont have to many wires to check...

true but the projectors were brand spankin new so they should be all good...im thinking its the 9007 harness/connector thats causing problems so i am going to take the old 9007 harness from my last HID's and splice the wires and use the old 9007 harness on the new projector....

well seee

well just spliced in the 9007 from my old HID bulb and its still the exact same thing....that leaves me only 2 options, the 2 wires (red/black) that come straight off the bulb (connections to the bulb are secure) with the input/output plugs, and the rectangle shaped plug that is also connected to the bulb.

this is getting retarded...
