passenger door lock switch wont work??? switch is fine

passenger door lock switch wont work??? switch is fine

hey guy i have done a search and i havent found anything on my issue. only issues say that its the door lock switch. well on my car i have replaced the door lock switch and it still does not work. any else have an issue with this?? the door locks do work since they both lock and unlock with the car stoped and started.

I had the same issue. I checked the connector and the wires. I ended up having corroded terminals. They grey one is for the interior lights. The white is the signal wire from the BCM. The black one is ground. When you press the lock button it sends the signal from the BCM straight to ground. Then the BCM knows to lock the doors and sends a signal to the door lock/unlock actuator through a different wire. When you press the unlock button. The BCM has to pass through a resistor to ground. Then it knows to unlock the doors and send the signal to the door lock/unlock actuator. So I'd check your wire end terminals at the switch.
