"Performance Display" LCD Upgrade in 09 SS/TC Sedan?
I've had my 09 SS/TC Sedan for a year now, and I'm ready to do some work to it. I'm going to start a few other threads, but here I just want to know if anyone knows if it's possible to upgrade the Boost Dial on the d/s a-pillar in the Sedan to the LCD "Performance Display" (which was only offered as an option on the coupe). I just assume this gadget taps into the ECU for intake temp, etc, and perhaps has a little accelerometer for the HP/Torque rating. It also could be much more complicated than just running a wire bundle down and through the firewall.
I would rather have this feed into a huge display in-place of the out-dated radio, which could also be connected to a car PC. That PC could take that info from the ECU and make a better GUI than the GM version. That would cost a bit much, and I like keeping close to stock appearance (also, aesthetic design and GUI/hard-button-interface of aftermarket radios always fall short of my expectations).
Any guidance would be helpful.
