I have read the pinout sticky but not sure which one applies to my situation. I went to best buy and they gave me the metra 70-2003 but from the stickies i think i actually needed the 70-2103. Does anyone know the difference in the pinout for these so that I dont have to make another 30 min trip to best buy to do an exchange. Also if it matters I have an 06 LS without onstar and without the pioneer system

 

the 2003 should be wired as so

A 1-7 empty 8 wht 9 wht/blk 10 prp/blk 11 prp 12 blk
B 1 yel 2 red 3 bl/wht 4 oj/wht 5-7 empty 8 grn 9 grn blk 10 gry blk 11 gry 12 oj

the pinout you need is

A 1 wht/blk 2 wht 3 prp/blk 4 purp 5 grn 6 grn/blk 7gry 8 gry blk 9-11 empty 12 blk
B 1 yel 2-5 empty 6 blu/wht 7 oj/wht 8 oj 9-10 empty 11 red

Oh just as an fyi the orange wires and red are useless so you dont have to pin them

 

Thanks. I think I may just go exchange it cuz i realized i need an antenna adapter and the double din install kit.

 

call them up first. bby doesnt really stock the double din kit they'd have to order it

well no one had the correct adapter so i an repinning the 2003. I repinned it the specified way above but only front speakers work. Any ideas

 

do you have the pioneer system or no? if not test the wires for 4 ohms and see what u find

 

ended up being bent pins
