im mostly also just wondering what else i need to install this in my car and where to find them?
from what ive gathered theres:
1. a double din mounting bracket
2. wiring harness adapter
3. and steering control interface adapter

technically all you NEED is a double din adapter, wiring harness adapter, and antenna adapter. Depending which wiring harness you get will decide whether or not you keep steering wheel controls and chimes.. I prefer to save the money and loose the features by buying the cheap harness as I never use steering wheel controls and the chimes are annoying . Metra 70-2104 is what you would need for the cheap one. Its like $15 on ebay

ok so i dont have on star but i am 07+ so i think i have everything figured out.

im going to need:
Metra = 95-3302 double din mounting kit
Metra = 40-CR10 antenna adapter
Pac= C2R-GM11 module wiring harness
Pac= SWI-PS steering wheel control harness

and this is all for a AVH-P4400BH Pioneer double din headunit.
i want to make sure this all still works for this headunit since it is a new model.
could somebody let me know if i have the correct information or if im missing something? thanks.

I'd personally spend the few extra bucks and get the Nav built in too...

The harness you need to attach the car OEM harness, to your new radio's harness will always be the same.

right the only thing that could possibly be different is the steering wheel controls. Since they are both pioneer you would just have to verify whichever one you get has the wired input (both should) and if not you would need to go with the universal IR one in which case your just better off saying **** it and not installing them
