Power Question

ok i am planning to run a JL Audio 13W7, 2 JL Audio 1/1000 amps, about 7-9 tv's (one in dash 2 on the doors 1 in each headrest and 2 in the trunk....along with the milti-colored underglow kit, wheel well kit, and various interrior lighting as well as lighting in the trunk, obviously bc im not rich i cannot purchase all of this at once but my question will be how do i go about getting enough power to handle all of this im thinking 2 optima red top batteries, but im sure ill need a better alternator to pull this light/video show, also how is it suggested that things be hooked up i dont think the underglow kit +the wheel well kit should be wired on the same line as all my interrior lights so how hould i go about distributing my power without popping fuses, mabe i distribution block? im not exactly sure but i want to make sure i buy everything i will need before i go to work, your help would be appreciated

What are you going to replace the fronts with and power them?
PLEASE don't tell me that you are putting $5000 into bass a leaving the speakers that play over 90% of music completely stock!!

You should ATLEAST be looking at JLaudio XR components and a JL 300/2 as well.
Not to mention with the second 1000/1 your at best going to be getting another 3db. Hell a 500/1 can best dual 1000/1s on that sub if the 500/1 is playing to a sub in a better box and in a better prep'd car.

The lights dont draw that much juice, atleast not when compared to the 1000/1s with even with 2 optimas, they will drain a car dead in a few minutes at full blast. The additional light kits should each be run with power directly to the battery and fused closely to it just like an amplifier. The car audio accessory companies make tons of little distroblock and barrier strips that would work well for you.

I do not know what if anything can be added to a cobalt for alternators but i would not even attempt that system with less then a 120 amp alternator.

i would go with 6.5's in the back... better quality over a 6X9 and with subs no need for its "bass"

Do not bother with teh 6x9's. Leave them stock or go to the lowest end match to your fronts as possible. If the sub is to be in the trunk then leave the rears out completely as that will let the bass directly vent into the car.

Read about rear speakers here:
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118232

For the best speaker, its all about what your ears like and where your going to mount things. To match the JL 13W7 you should get the best pair of front 6.5" comonents you can afford. The best is what your hears tell you are the best, nothing more. I would highly reccomend looking at JL audio XR/ZR, Polk momo or SR, Focal K2 Power, or simialr. Sometimes its nice to run all one brand as if you start doing well in the show scene a manufacturer may sponsor you. That will be very hard to impossible with JL as they have F-You money to burn these days.

Also, to make this cheaper on yourself, see about picking up a part time gig at a car audio shop. The direct buy from JL audio price to employees is 70% last I checked. Not a bad savings. I had purchased 2 12W6's, a 1000/1, 300/2, 2 300/2's, pair of XR525CSi, and pair of XR525CW for less then $1500.

Also, dont get shocked about this, EVERY manufacturer offers programs like this to employees of dealers. Basicly, they know that the best way for someone to sell the product is if they use it in their own car.
