could i take a female Stereo mini cable and solder it to the radio in on the back of the stock deck then plug a male end into it and use the Am/Fm setting as Aux in? kinda like how the XM works but with Am/Fm? my car doesnt have Xm

Again sorry its probably a stupid redundant question but I had to ask... been thinking about it all morning.

yeah I really didnt want to resort to an FM transmitter.. been there done that lol.. but it looks like I dont have any other choice because I dont want to spend a tonne of money on this... I'll just get one, snip off the Cig lighter Male end and hardwire the power/ground to the cig lighter wires.. assuming the cigg lighter is a switched source?

I picked mine up off of ebay for 20 buck but with shipping it was 30 and I believe amazon offers free shipping for orders over 25 dollars.
