Question about sub box fitment
Question about sub box fitment
Ok so since everyone knows that cobalts have so small of a trunk, does anyone know the biggest box that you could fit in there? the system i am planning on purchasing are 2 12 inch kicker l5's and if you guys arent sure of what i am asking then how big of boxes do you have for your setup
thanks
thanks
each different kind of sub has different amount of air space it needs... check the book that came with the subs (or look online) and find the measurements the sub requires for best sound... then measure out your car...
would either of these fit?

the first one defiantly not and the second one probably not... I'm pretty sure the top is 30" so ur going to need a crazy custom box like mine or 2 separate boxes if ur planning on doing 15s
Measure the distance from the bottom to the top in the opening from the rear seats. that is how high it can be. may want to measure length so it fits when turned into position.
You HAVE to take out the rear seat backs. I have to do this just for a Dual 10" box.

if i remember correctly it would be 16" tall 30" wide on the top and 37" wide on the bottom. also remember my entire trunk is and was stripped so the carpet may or may not screw with those measurements... and i removed the rear seat +bracket to get that 16"
True if someone finds away to steal my sub they deserve to have it...you have to take out both my amps off the rear seats, take out the ENTIRE rear seats top and bottom, then have to perfectly wedge it out..not to mention my trunk release dosent work so they have to have my keys to open the trunk
