i did a search real quick and didnt find anything. Im installing a Jensnes VM9311TS flip up deck. Theres the saftey switch so that the screen dosent display anything unless the car in park. If you dont install it at all will the deck still work and display the whole time.

 

no. if u dont hook the parking wire to anything it wont play video at all ever

 

Wrong. Found a way around it. I didn't even install the wire. Its sitting in the box still wrapped in its protective plastic bag. And there's video all the time no matter if its in drive, park, reverse or whatever.

 

If it works without being hooked up then thats a crap safety switch. Its suppose to work like EmperorJJ1 said. The only way around it that I know of is to ground the wire out

 

yeah that was one way to do it. Theres a code you can type in for the system to work. It changes the setting. Sorry you guys just follow the instructions. Installed myself and everything works perfect. And displays picture and video at all time.

 

i thought this was talking about the quickDVD player for the pc lol

 

it comes as a wire not a switch and grounding it out doesn't work

oh ya forgot it was jensen (only one that works that way)
