Radar Detector!!!!

So i just recently got back from Japan and while out on a joyous cruise i got pulled over for speeding, yes i was speeding but they had found better places to hide since i left...

thus the need for a detector, what's the best bang for my buck?

models, prices, and links if you can....

Do you do any of your own research or do you think forums are your own personal google?

Cheapest detector, your eyes.....
Radar detector won't keep you safe 100%.

Back to the thread, I use 9500i, it performs really well on highway. Redline is about the same but is more for highway.

Ya, I have the 9500i as well. Eyes and that. Work great. I don't speed in area's I don't know, etc. But it is nice to just have as a heads up.

I just recently got the 9500iX and it's already saved my ass a couple times, the range is awesome and I like the fact that coupled with the GPS after driving by the same store a few times it no longer goes off. It "learns" that location and no longer gives you a false alarm

All those are fail. Get a Valentine. Google the name and you'll see why it's superior. Also, I don't condone speeding nor do I have a radar detector. If I did though, I'd get a valentine. Not only is it the best on the market PERIOD, but in some states like mine those things are illegal. You can hide a valentine unit anywhere( doesn't have to be in your windshield like a "pull me over" flag)

I was between 9500 and redline (almost the same, one have more range than other) over valentine one. Because during my research found out that even with updates valentines one software is really out of date (obsolete) they haven't bring a new software, just updates to the old one. Remember valentine one is been in service for a long time, I would have wanted a valentine one because of the direction of detection. That's why I went something newer.

Chances are, if your radar detector goes off they've already got you. Valentine is a great option as are Escort. I own a Beltronics. Top line when I bought it but there are more refined options now.

Depends where your at and what the locals use. I bought a 9500 a few months back to find out everyone around here uses laser, so pretty much you have an expensive thing on your windshield that tells you when your getting pulled over. Needless to say, I took it back

Mainly the GPS feature. I would say range is a little more, more redefine software, yada yada yada, all stuff they want you to believe that makes it perform better . I used to own the 8500, really good till I had to do the service twice lol
