i was wondering if it would be possible to wire a radar detector so it would output sound along with the stock audio system
do you think it could be done, or is it too tricky?

 

Oh it could be done. If you find a radar detector with audio-output then you could then either 1. bring it to a line in on an aftermarket deck or 2. as you said with factory system, just get an FM modulator and tune into that station. then your radar detector will be heard throughout your whole car but yeah, you'd have to find a detector with audio out first...
