i have a 2006 chevy cobalt supercharged, does anyone now if i would be able to take a radio from the 07' and up and hook it up in my car? they are black and mine is silver. i want to do all the trim inside black but i need a new radio but dont have the money to buy a 6" in-dash touch screen like i want, but i will use an 07' radio if it'll work.

so does anyone know if it'll work?

 

not without alot of pains. The harnesses are completely different and the gm-lan system is in 07 and up

Don't the 05-06 radios come in a black version? Would be easier to swap one of those rather than spending forever and a day trying to get an 07+ deck to work.

 

i believe the G5s come with a black radio. Maybe not.

I know the bases do, but then you dont have mp3 compatibilies or the 6 disc changer.

You could probably just swap the faces tho, they just snap off after you take out some screws.
