Rear sub wiring cut

I really never bothered with my speaker system since I got the car as long as it played, but last night I notice the rear sub wasn't working so I looked around and found the problem

The amp wiring not connected so what's my options to fixing? I came to the conclusion that the reason it's cut is cause the previous owner had an amp.

Thanks in advance

That is not OEM wiring.
Welcome to buying a used car that has been modded.

Need more details on the car audio system.
OEM pioneer?
HU?
Speakers OEM?
etc.

ya thats aftermarket wire. does it lead to the stock sub? You are going to have to pull the stock sub out if it looks like it does. On top of the stock sub box is there a plug? and if so are any wires connected?

Yeah some people do f'd up **** to cars. my buddy got a cobalt and asked me to hook the radio up cause he said there wasn't any wires he could find to hook the factory radio. When I took everything apart all of the factory speaker wires were gone completely. They took them out of the connectors for the doors and all.

Did you check behind the carpet in the trunk by the sub for the stock sub wires?

Right it sounds like previous owner had an aftermarket sub and amp installed and when selling it/trading it back in they just shoved the stocker in and didnt reconnect it.

So theoretically you just have to plug it in

^ That's what I think happened with my car, except the dumbasses cut the wires running to the stock sub.

i look at the sub better and the aftermarket wire is inside the stock sub box. What i thought to be the plug it was just electric tape around the wires. Saturday i'm going to remove the box and pray the plug is still inside.

Yes! I look behind the carpet and i saw the plug. Tug on it seems like it is still connected so i just have to plug it back in.
