Recommend me speakers/sub

I am completely new to this scene, so I am looking for something simple. I have an LS cobalt and the stock right door speaker goes in and out. I want to replace the speakers with better speakers. I am not looking for the best system money can buy, or the loudest. I just want better then stock speakers. I am also not looking to replace my HU. I dont know how to determine if I have a pioneer system or not..nothing seems to suggest that I do.

I also want to avoid any real type of customization if possible so the same size speakers (6.5/6x9) would be what I want. Anyone have any recommendations?

replace with stock then, stock speakers are some of the only speakers meant for low wattage, most upgraded speakers are made for higher watts, underpowering is worse then over powering remember that

Would either of these work well without having to add an amp?

If your going to replace the speakers but leave them running off the stock amp then find speakers that run at 2 ohms, since thats what the stock system is running at. Look into the Infinity line. The reference components series are decent speakers, I had them running off the stock amp for a while in my car and they did sound alot better than the stock speakers

IMO I'd stay away from Coaxial speakers, they just don't sound the same as seperates

Ok then, component speakers are the way to go. Ok, now what if I wanted to run off a seperate amp then. Does the stock HU have the RCA jacks required to hook one up? I tried searching for specs for it but couldn't find anything, not even on google. And then, if I had 4 ohm speakrs (2 woofers and 2 tweeters) and a 2 x 4ohm speaker, will hooking up a tweeter and a woofer to 1 channel and the other 2 to the other reduce it to 2 ohms each? Am I wrong...if not would I then be better off getting a 4 channel?

they have high level converters to rca jacks for use with stock head units, those are great. i had some boston acoustic speakers that sounded great with the stock head unit, like someone else mentioned check crutchfield they have good prices and come with great instructions and the no cut wireing harness.,.couldnt be easier to get a head unit, then you dont have to worry about ohms and such when looking for speakers

Well I decided on what im getting, so all thats left is for it to arrive and hook up. However, I am kind of confused on the amp bypass. I am using a 4 channel amp so doing so requires me to by pass the amp. I also bought a rather cheap sub, so I wont need the stock one (does the LS have stock amp and sub). Therefore I think it would be easier to remove the stock amp and disconnect the stock sub. Is this more difficult then a bypass? I am confused on the stickies instructions.

Ok, 1 last question. Since I am changing just the front speakers, where would I want to spice the wire off of? Can I still use the rear ones, or does it matter? Can I just splice off of the wires connecting the front door speakers to make it easier?
