remote radio control signal!?

In the wiring harness for the amp, and I think also on the radio end, there is a L-GN wire that says it is a "remote radio control signal". Does anybody know what this is for? I've spliced into every other wire to hook up an amp, and that is the only one not being used. All is working, but it still bugs me that I don't know what it's for.
