I bought a Viper 5701 Remote Start( Viper - Viper 5701 Responder LE 2-Way Security and Remote Start System ). I was just wondering what else i would need to install it into the Balt. Part number and/or links would be good too.

 

i got a viper smart start module to go with ur starter if u wanna buy it

it allows you to unlock/lock set alarm and start ur car all from a smart phone

i can get pics with username and date if interested its only small so i can ship let me know

All you need is a XK09 from Directed(they're all over ebay and amazon). Itll be SUPER easy to install since you can use the D2D cable included and plug it into the Viper system, That makes it so you dont have to run wires for the door locks, trunk pop, hood pin, door pins, or tachometer. The module will send all that data over the single D2D cable.


THIS IS HUGE THOUGH: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT install the module without getting it programmed by a Viper installer/dealer. itll take them 5 minutes to program. If you live in michigan you can meet me anywhere in Canton/Plymouth and I'll do it for ya on the spot for free. I do this **** on the side. All the programming does is tell the module which car its going in so it knows how to handle the computer properly. And youll have the latest firmware with all the bug fixes.
