Halos work HIDs don't

Having a funny issue all of a sudden. My halos work but the hid bulbs don't. They were working just fine last night. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box and on the wiring harness for the retros themselves. All fuses are good.

When I click the headlight control lever to the ON position I can hear something click in the headlights but the bulbs don't turn on. What is the likelihood that they BOTH burned out at the same time? I just can't imagine that would happen.

Any ideas?

sounds like a possible ground issue, so I'd check that first (possibly remove it then check for corrosion). The *click* makes it seem like your relay is functioning so my thoughts point towards the ground wire for the ballasts

if that doesnt work, undo the ballast connections and check for water in them. I had that happen to me once then I just taped them up after drying them and they worked ever since

Thx. You might be on to something bc it did rain yesterday and I rarely drive it in the rain but I did yesterday so I will check that. The ground looked good.

I also had that happen to me once. I thought they burnt out and i was pissed. unpluged everything and plugged it back up, called it a day. then randomly they worked the next day.

Well I ended up replacing the relays and now they work. One of them looked a bit gross so I'm gonna guess they were getting wet and just finally burned up.
