Hey,

I have a black radio from an '06 ss, and the faceplate has some ware spots and I would really like to touch it up and spray over it. I have tried removing the faceplate but the volume and tune knobs stop it from coming off so I can spray it. I have pulled pretty hard on them to the point where i thought I could break them, but still nothing. Is there some trick to getting these knobs off without damaging the radio?

Any help would be appreciated.

u removed the face from the radio yet? bc its screwed and clipped on from the sides

 

Yes i have removed all screws from it and after doing so the knobs stop it from coming off.

 

hmm unless maybe u got something like coke stuck in there... it was years ago but when i removed mine for the swap im pretty sure the knobs went with the faceplate. i never actually took the face apart thou just off one radio on another
