no sound when cold

no sound when cold

so i installed a pioneer dvd player and when it is cold out i dont get any sound until the cabin warms up and i shut the headunit off and restart it... any ideas anyone?

prob bad connection if its really really cold it might just be the cd player itself going into protect

no factory amp... and yeah thats the best thing i could come up with (bad connection) .... just find it weird as soon as the air temp raises it works.... I dont even really use the cd player just radio, ipod, and xm... go figure....?

It has to be a bad connection..
Stuff compresses when it's cold, which could pull the connection away.. When it expands, the connection is made..

My best guess..

awww... grasshoppa.... u smarta than u look (in bad japanese accent) lmao
but yeah i get the sub make loud noise when powering down the headunit but no other sound... anybody have any idea which wire to look for? im kinda thinking its the remote lead but not sure

i used cd player as a general term. but if i remember correctly pioneers do have a low temp protect for the internal amp. sub ***should*** still play if thats the case thou

remote has nothing to do with sound other then the sub. if ur using the internal amp via speaker wire check those first then try ground lastly google pioneer pico fuse and get er done. well maybe do the pico fuse thing first anyway pioneers are stupid
