The Right Wiring Harness (Pics inside)??
The Right Wiring Harness (Pics inside)??
I am looking to add a Parrot Bluetooth unit MK6100, and I do not want to chop up all of my wires.
It appears that the harness I need is the QCGM-2
Link: http://www.quickconnectproducts.com/...ut.html#QCGM-1
Thats the -1 model... scroll down a page and you will see the QCGM-2 Non-Bose model.
It says it would work with the cobalt 05-06.
Can anyone confirm that tha connectors on the back of the radio will mate properly w/ this harness?
I have a 05 Cobalt SS w/ Pioneer 7spk, XM and Onstar. I don't use the onstar but do use the XM. From the looks of it, it appears the Harness splices onto the speaker wires and doesn't actually interface with the radio.
But the MK6100 supports Bluetooth A2DP and AVRC which will allow me to play and control my music on my phone, as well as anwser calls.
This should work right? And my calls and music should play through all 7 speakers?
I tried searching but came up empty handed.
Thanks,
Rich

your adding the bluetooth kit to the stock radio?
the "harness" your looking at seems to be a "bypass" type harness and in theory it should work... the plug in the middle would hook up to the stock harness and the plug on the far right would plug into the stock radio. the others look like they would plug into the amp BUT it doesnt make sense how it would really do anything other then replace the stock wiring because there isnt any way to hook it up to the input of your bluetooth unit without splicing the "harness"
sounds like a fun install

The three connectors on the left connect to the parrot bluetooth device... Basically all that the unit does is jack in between the radio and speakers and inject it sound when ness.
