So I'm kickin' around some ideas...
For a future stereo system, and let me just get this out of the way. I can wire it myself just fine, but I don't have a damn clue what things work well together. Numbers > Me.
So here's a little list I've thrown together, feel free to pick it apart, etc, etc, but if you do bash me, have the common courtesy to offer a better idea please

I'd like to stick with 10 inchers... my main concern is the amp, cause I honestly don't know **** about them. So lemme ask this, what two 10 inch subs + amp combo should I aim to get ? (assume a midlevel budget)
Just make sure that ur amp has enough watts to power BOTH subs equally.. For example, my subs max out at 500 watts each.. so i bought a 1000 watt amp... it worked out perfectly
i COULDV risked gettin a little more powerful amp but i didnt wana risk blowin them out... so yeah, just make sure ur subs can handle the amount of wattage ur amp puts out and u should be good

do you like loud earth rattling bass... or tight punch bass
i personally am not a fan of jbl products, but everyones ears hear things diffrently, if you haven't heard them yet, i would highly suggest trying to find a place to listen to them...i found their sound to be quite dull
could you be a little more specific on price, pm me if your not comfertable with posting what your willing to pay...it is personal info
and theres nothing wrong with type E's if thats what you want to get

300Wx1 RMS is good for SQ.
Sorry but that is incorrect, especially when listening to Rock or Country music. The response is not what it should be. Side by side comparison will show you. I'd go to a car audio store and ask them if you can test different speakers and boxes in your car.

In my old fbody i had
Headunit - alpine 9855
front stage components - cdt audio 6.5" titanium tweeter
powered by a hifonics nemesis 400x2 watt (all hifonics is rate rms)
no rear stage speakers
2 12 inch Image dynamics IDQ (shouldve went with IDX)
powered by the hifonics 1200 watt rms mono block amp
I loved that stereo to death, i even managed to crack my windshield showing it off to my old co-workers, lol
There are plenty of brand out there that are no named but sound incredible, much better than any of the name brand stuff on the market.
IMO
i love alpine head units. tons of options, easy to tune, added accessories out the yahzoo.
close second would be eclipse brand.
component speakers.
i dig diamond hex series, cdt audio, focal, infinity, and at the bottom of the barrel alpine type x.
amps
i LOVE hifonics amps, all thier amps are rated rms watt, they hit hard, there simply made, small for thier wattage, i just cant see a downside to using them.
subs
im tottally against any bigname brand sub, they all sound like boo boo to me.
i like image dynamics, RE,Memphis, elemental design, and if anything came close to big name brand, prolly JL.
Sometimes, its not always the name brand stuff thats the best.
