2 Single Din's in the Double Din opening

Hey there,

What kit do I need to get to put my Pioneer DEH-9800BT + DEQ-9200 into the double din opening in the Cobalt? I've installed a double din, and a single din, but never 2 single dins in a double din.

They aren't two radios, one is an equalizer.

esh u might be fucked on that one. does the eq have iso mount holes on the side? if so any of the double din kits would work. if not then ur best bet would be the scoshe GM1599B but it wont be easy to get a cage to work properly

It is full length and mounts like a regular deck. It has a cage and everything.

ah ok then double iso is ur best bet. from the pics i saw it looked stubby so i wasnt sure if it had the holes on the side for iso. i saw the cage but thats the problem. the double din kits in our cars like many other dont use the cage like singles but instead are screwed in from the side, so as long as the eq has the provisions for the screws then ur ok.

and truth be told for some of the people out there... i have installed 2 radios into one vehicle before. a cassete tape player and cd player for what it was it came out pretty well

They should work, you will need to make your own brackets tho. The dash kits that ive seen wont have screw holes for the lower radio/eq.

they should. both the metra 95-3302 and the american international are listed as double iso. the scosche doesnt say but it looks like it would work too

Hah.. You might be right. I thought it was deck length, but it appears to have a separate brain. I guess I'll have to just get a kit and figure it out. I might end up selling my deck and the eq and getting the new Stage 4 DEX-P99RS that came out. Not sure what I want to do. I'm really stuck on what is the use of putting in my supercharger if I put hundreds of pounds of batteries, wiring, and subs in the trunk. I'm going to have to go smaller then I'm used to.

This is what I'm thinking tho..

This is the eq.

idk my car is still fast enough for me... not oh **** fast like a modded ss/tc that ive been in but fast enough . and i doubt you can get as heavy as me. maybe but idk

oh and from those pics that looks like a Camry corolla something along those lines (lol same car i did the tape player **** in) but those are iso so you should be ok if thats the case.... Iso is just screws on the side of the radio. heres a standard radio showing the holes you would use for the iso mount

The first pic? Nah, its an SUV..

I'm pretty sure I would be pretty heavy if I installed everything I have.

2 Digital Designs 9510G's or 1 TC-Sounds 5200 18
1 Sundown SAX-125.2 + 2 SAX-100.4 + 2 SAZ-1500D's strapped or 1 SAZ-3500D
AudioControl Matrix and DQXS+DDC
2 Kinetik HC2400's
1" MDF enclosure
**** load of 1/0, 4ga, 12ga, RCA's, and the front speakers/deck, etc..
**** load of deadner..

It adds up fast..
