Okay so I have a Kicker ZX550.2 amp and I was wondering if some of you audio experts can help me out on which speaker I should use on it.
I have a Kicker L5 12inch dvc 2ohm that has an RMS of 600 watts
and I also have a Kicker L7 12 inch dvc 2ohm that has an RMS of 750 watts.
So basically which one would be better to run on the amp? Regardless I know that I need to wire the speaker in series so that the amp will get a 4 ohm load. The ZX550.2 has a RMS of 550 watts one channel at 4 ohm.

 

Also, i know that kicker amps are normally rated at a higher wattage than what it says. For example my ZX350.4 running my mid range speakers is rated at 400 something watts. Sadly I lost the sheet of paper that tells the EXACT amount my ZX550.2 is pushing.

 

it would match with the L5 the best but the L7 might be louder even thou its under powered. Id put in the L5 tune it properly then try the L7 with the same settings and use whichever one is louder
