starting to get a sound system put together
probably ported. BUT if you want the best "sounding" bass then sealed will sound better. 95% of people would care less and get ported due to output thou (a good ported box can still sound ok... generally prefabs suck at life thou)
because most prefabs are made to make the subs as "loud" as possible. and most were designed with the 1989 subwoofer collection then copied and copied gain ect. So they are tuned to 60hz with a tiny port. now with the big subs out now that can handle playing low alot better manus have started building bigger boxes to fill demand but some still leave it tuned high and tiny port.
i guess its bc most of the people who buy prefabs dont know or care the difference? idk but its stupid

I found a dual ported box that has just over 1 cubic feet per opening and tuned at 36 hz.

Are the dimensions too big though to fit in the trunk?

also is there a how to on here or something for how to run the wires from ur headunit to the trunk? I want a clean install with no wires showing. Obviously with the battery in the trunk it is much easier to achieve that and if I am correct all that needs to be run from the headunit to the amp is the p cont and the rca cables right?
