starting insatll, connections question....
OK, SO i did search and I found this in teh stickies.
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/electronics-audio-video-49/cobalt-audio-pinouts-2823/
Now, my question is, why are 2 different radios listed? I have an 06 w/ the pioneer system with NO onstar. Which set should I use.
Also, I am following preowners info, and going to run the 2 sets of preouts (front L R, rear L R) to the stock GM wiring that runs to the harness. I dont want the same cables from the harness on the new headunit to run to those cables since they are powered.
Which cables am I going to need to splice these into? I assume the harness is plug and play, minus the power that I need to run from an add a fuse. So I figure I will need to disconnect 4 cables from teh harness and run them to those pre outs on the HU.
Which is which?
I am officially doing my install tomorrow! So any last info would be great. I also assume I will need to dremel out that evil metal bar lol!
OK to clarify
I have
+ and - for every speaker. If I was hooking directly to the head unit there would be a total of 8 connections (2 for each speaker)
If I am using the RCA's then I only have 4 connections. The signal and the ground in each cable. How would I go about attaching the 4 RCA's to the 8 + and -'s on the wiring harness?

methinks ure gonna have to fab up some rca connectors for it, like take an rca cable, strip it, connect the core to the positive and the surrounding wire to the negative, connect those to each of the pairs of speakers and then do rca to rca on the harness
btw, not sure on the whole core is +, and surrounding wires are - thing, might be reversed, take an ohmeter to it
evil metal bar... may or may not be an issue, i didn't have to mess with it for my double din, so less likely u will have to for your single
