I have 07 LS and i was wondering if there was a way to hook up subs to the stock HU

 

yes you will need, an rca adapter that taps into a your speaker wire to get the signal then you will need to tap the fuse box for aux power, not constant for the power on amp signal, and power wire for the battery

12v->battery
gound
Aux->non constant fuse box
RCA Adapter- Speaker Wire Music Signal

 

yea... go talk to some'a the guys at your local shop, they'll help you out...

Just get a deck i have all that **** and its a pain in the ass.........

 

it's pretty easy in any car. it just helps that our battery is in our trunk and we have in cabin fuse panels

 

maybe if you're retarded it's a pain in the ass but if you're mildly competant it's pretty friggin easy.

 

exactly, is one wire from the front, a thin one at that. everything else is in the trunk.

 

W/E but it is better to just get a deck.....More power to the speakers, etc...

 

Actually, it makes no difference whaatsoever in the power going to the speakers. That is determined by the amp. the RCA adapter actually acts as a filter, at least good ones, to get rid of noise.

Put down the baggy and step away from the car, sir.

 

Aftermarket is better because you can get a specific subwoofer RCA output. This is good especially if your amp does not have a crossover built in. Otherwise you may allow vocals to go through your sub which can cause issue with the voicecoil. So either do the HU install and get an amp with a crossover in it, buy a crossover to go with an amp that doesnt have 1, or buy a HU with sub out and install it on any amp. Personally, I prefer a sub out on my HU and a Class D mono block amp. But thats just me

Exactly what he said. The cobalt Battery is in with the spare tire. Their is a post under the hood for jumping but the physical battery is in with the spare tire. Check for yourself

how its wierd how you didnt know about that, its one of the first things i noticed. yeah my car, had a lot of nice little features that i didnt know about.
