Push in the display button. It's the knob opposite the power/volume knob.

You have to keep pressing it. However, when either the song or artist are displayed, hold down the Display button. If you do that, either the song or artist will stay displayed, whichever you prefer. I have it set to show the artist.

Hey everyone!

Since this is related I thought I would ask in this thread. When a somg title is longer than what would fit on one display, I noticed sometimes the rest of the title would display after a few seconds. Sometimes the title is simply cut off. Is this an XM thing or is there a way to keep the display showing the entire song title?

In aftermarket XM receivers, the title will scroll. But it doesn't do that in the Cobalt for whatever reason.

It doesn't scroll. It shows part of the title for a few seconds then it will flash the rest of the title for a few seconds then display the bands name again. This is what I am asking about, this isn't scrolling. I have noticed that it will only occasionally display the whole song title on two lines. Know what I mean now?

As an example, play a CD that was burned with CD text. If the name of the songs is longer than what will can be displayed all at once, it will show the first two or three words for a few seconds, clear and display the last two or three words of the title. My XM does this occasionally on some of the songs too, but I can't seem to get this to do it for all songs on XM. It will do it for all songs played on FM. I'm thinking this is the way XM is sending out the signal.
