Sub affecting gas
Sub affecting gas
Well I just installed my sub last nite into my coupe, and I must say that I am VERY pleased with how it sounds and came out. So far not a whole lot of rattling (knock on wood). But today as I was driving to work, I noticed that I was getting some funny readings for my gas information. Like my mpg reading had jumped from like 33.3 - 33.9 mpg in maybe 15 miles. And then went from 33.9 - 34.4 in about 5 miles. I have never had it that high. I was thinking that with the introduction of all of this new vibrations and frequencies that it was affecting the gas tank readings. Also my miles left in my tank was considerably lower for how high my mpg read. Iono its kinda strange.
Just kinda wondering if anyone else that has put in an aftermarket system has had funny readings like this or has had similar things happen. Let me know. Because as happy as I am to how it sounds it would suck if it affected the information center and gas readings. Thanks!

I may try that. And I was talking to my dad and he said on his s80 when he coasts sometimes it would go up to like 80 something mpg, and I mite have caught it at a time when it was coasting or just did something funny. Who knows. Im not too worried about it as long as I dont run out of gas unexpectadly ha.
And thanks for the suggestion!
