Sub and Amp questions

Will a subwoofer and a amp cause problems in my 07 ss/sc... I know i have stock ones but do i have to or should i upgrade anything else if i want to do it

depends on how big of a amp and sub you want to run.

i dont have an ss/sc or the pioneer sound system so i dont know if this makes any difference in my answer but i got a line out converter off of my rear speaker wires goin to an 800 watt amp and two 12's with no problems at all.. you wont get all you can out of the subs and amp till you upgrade the head unit though..

yea a better head unit is a must, if you want to run a amp for your mids and highs you have to bypass thw stock amp that is a bitch, i have memphis 4x220 running my mids and highs and a memphis 1000D running my sub.

well it would be ideal to bypass the mosfet amp in the deck for any usage....

But, nothing says you must.

I have an alpine stereo and a rockford fosgate 500 watt amp going to my 3 jl audio 10s and it sounds great, but kills my battery, when i am driving it makes my headlights flash bad, I need to get a capassator
