Sub box question

ok, once again i am having one of my "dee-dee-dee" moments.

i installed my optima yellow-top tonight and finished up most of the wiring for my amp. when i took my sub box out there (hauch-style dual 12"), i immediatley assumed it would not fit through the trunk opening, so i decided to try the back seat. even after removing some of the trim, i just can't get it all the way through. wisth wise, i'm ok but when it gets half way in. it catches the bottom of the trunk. i tried removing the trunk liner but to no avail.

so what i'm asking is how the hell you guys got your boxes in?

it seems to be a standard size box and i had it in my sundance, contour, cavalier, and s10 but it just doesnt like my cobalt. HELP!!!

turn the box length wise pushing it into the trunk..Ok now as you push it start turning it. You prob want to take your amp out if you have it in. Thats how I got mine in. I like to know which yellow top you got and to see a pic of how it looks with it in> I am looking to get one and wanna know how it fits were the old battery was...Thanks

tried that. I can leg press the rack and then some on both the machines at the fitness center....no luck. BUT, i was able to remove the bottoms of the seats and get them in.

as for the yellow top, i have the yelolow top (34).

i'll get some pix up as soon as i can. it fits and works fine but its too tall so theres a bulge under the trunk liner because of it. i've had it in my cavalier and my s10 so i literally just had it laying around....now i have my brand new delco just laying around.

it WOULD, but that battery has side and top posts and they way its situated that would mean laying it on the side terminals which wouldn't be good at all (it would ground out the battery on the metal bracket)

then why dont you flip it so the side posts are on top and the top posts are on the side?

because that will reverse the POS and NEG and although the cables may be long enough, i'd really rather not cross them.
