sub wiring
sub wiring
Well i had to unhook my subs today, I kinda got the wiring messed up which goes to each part the red, or black. The subs sound good I think i got them in the right ports. Will this do anything to the subs if i have it wrong, or how can you tell? Like a reduce in bass?
I wasnt the one to wire this up. So i went with the wire that had the writing on it for the positive end. Since the positive end on the other side had writing on the wire.

well you could just look at where the wires connect to the amp and follow them back to the sub or get a multimeter and hook it to the wires coming out of the amp.....if you set it to read DC voltage it will tell you if the polarity is reversed.......Later
haha yeah.. i would do the little look at the wires but all that is running under the dynamat and carpet lol since my amp is under the drivers seat..
I think i got it now it sounds good

It works both ways but I find since the writing is black and neg it black then it helps me remember. I have gotten into the habbit of putting a small piece of heat shrink on both ends of the neg side, Its easier to see
