subfloor for trunk

I got a sub box and i want to build a subfloor and need ideas. What have you guys done and did u just carpet in or cover it with something else? thank you. looking forward gota get it done be4 xmas when i get my stuff. thanks again

no with the sub box above it. i origanally thought about it but i wanted to keep the spare tire so i scratched that idea.

I would image you could just take out the carpet and trace it on some wood and cut that out and carpet it. I want to do the same thing before I count for it support a sub box.

I did this because my sub was too heavy and eventually broke through the little carboard floor we have. I now have some solid wood in there, awesome stuff.

Did it exactly how you said too, traced the carpet on wood, cut it out and then glued the carpet peice right on top. Forget the spare tire though, I took it out to counter the weight added.

how did you get the board in there? did you cut it in 2? or does it fit in as a hole piece?
