Well I just put my new subs in the end of last week and also installed an autometer a/f gauge for looks. After installing the gauge, never saw a CEL or anything. Saturday comes and i had been bumping some and I notice ive got a CEL. I had no time to worry about it saturday so saturday night im driving home, had the volume up and happened to look at the a/f gauge. When the bass hits, the gauge moves accordingly to the bass, going all the way down to lean and even off the gauge. Kind of amusing, but I turned the radio down. Sunday I go to Autozone and they let me use the scanner, so i ran my codes and got 2 no power(cannot remember code #'s) and two low power codes to my front o2 sensor. Im thinking its in my wiring for the a/f gauge but could it possibly be from the bass shown and power shown on the gauge? Just wondering, Im getting rid of the gauge anyway so im going to rewire everything. Thanks!

 

Could be you wired the gauge up wrong, wired the amp up wrong, or you're overloading the alternator. Do you have bass caps installed? That might help with the power dips.

 

check ur wireing... subs shouldnt effect anything to do with any sensors in ur car
