you really cant cause protect on the amp because of input. Only way would be a clipping indicator built into the amps protect circiut but that is pretty rare and the only way you can get your rear speakers to clip that fast causing an amp hooked up via an loc (im assuming) is with an aftermarket HU. I would assume anyone with one wouldnt use an loc but who knows

depends on how you hook the remote wire up. if its a stock stereo and you do a fuse tap the amp will be on all the time the car is on.
