swap out sub??

So Ive been thinking of swapping out the sub in my car with one that obviously has some more power, but is there one that will fit where the old one is now?? I can figure out the wiring and adding an amp. I'm sure Ill be back to see exactly how to bypass the stock amp. I'm kinda lost trying to google this. The help would be appreciated!
