Talking System Revised

Here are some teaser pics of hopefull will be my last system in the Cobalt......

What i started off with tonight... (removed sub box), rewired front components, and rear components

THe Back all cleaned ready for new false floor and new sub box (which is a somewhat modified JL Slot Ported Box With 10W7
You can see each of the crossovers for the JL XR650cs (front) and XR570cs (rear)
and the JL 500/1 (for the 10W7)

Awaiting install is the 300/4 and the 10W7 (took it out of box to modify it)

What happens when you cut some MDF inside a two car garage with the door down.. man this dust gets everywhere (not in the car though)
BEFORE

JUST WIPPED A SMALL SPOT.. (needs a car wash)

im hoping to make the spare tire accesable (hopefully)

i want to keep it just in case and be able to get it our easily (i choped about a 1cm from the back deck in order to allot my box to slide to the back seats easier)

i have to put the box in yet, but im hoping it will work, that and i can always take more out) i dont want to cut about the spot weld on the deck lid.. but if i have to i can re-weld some spots so it dont come appart....

Does our car even have the tools to change a tire with the spare tire? Either way Im gonna end up calling AAA to tow my car, im thinking i might just take out my spare tire now (save weight) and put my new 4-channel amp in there...

btw is there anything below the metal of the spare tire section? Just want a heads up before I start drilling holes to mount my amp

the battery will be changed to Optima (Yellow or Red)

I am waiting on an full installation kit (w Cap) local futureshop sold em for 320+taxes..
i picked one up of ebay for 109us (not bad if you ask me)

i am going to pick up some wood and the battery so hopefully 1-2 weeks... if anything fully finished and all trim done in 2 weeks.......

that is the kit i just picked up 320(can) at local Future Shop. 120US On Ebay.

I only really needed the Cap, and the Power and Ground Splitter..

but for the xtra wire it was a nice deal....

if you like ebay try HIFIsoundconnection (i ordered from then a couple years back) but for some reason none of their stinger stuff is allowed in canada (or atleast they say DUE TO TERRITORY REASONS THIS ITEM CAN NOT BE SHIPPED TO CANADA)

XM unit and temporary deck until i get my AVIC-N2 back

I removed that small plastic filler (looks like a tape deckn would go there)
i made and exact size peice out of aluminum (and the deck pulls the peice together tight)

my tripple gauge pod Autometer Cobalt Boost Gauge. Volt Gauge (usless but it fills the hole for right now) and my Stock Boost/Vac (temp until new one)

Rear tweeter installed (the 5x7 is in stock location)

temp amp and crossover rack (looks like ****) but i need a stero so i put that in temporary unti the N2 comes back, and i will post finish and (mabye the process of) installed

its only tied in those 2 spots, the power wire runs up either the middle or the driver side of the car. the rca's run down the passanger...

i had to run the driver components down the driver side, too much stuff already down the passanger side.
i purchased double shielded speaker wire to help in shielding out the possible noise issue with the power/ alternator may cause
