taking 12v power plug out

taking 12v power plug out

I need to know how to take the 12v power plug in out right below the stero....I am trying to do the cooling mod and I need a place to put my switch, thanks.

It comes out just like the one below the shifter, in front of the e-brake. Its held in by a plastic clip. Good luck, I broke my e-brake one by taking it out. Just drill a new hole for the switch, its simple. Use a half-inch bit and choose a location where the underside of the switch wont be impeded. I did that for my gauges, but now I'm re-wiring. That way you still have use of your power socket and have a switch too.

How did you pull it out? Just keep on tugging?

pull up on the center peice it just come off then put the car in (n) but dont turn the car on so you can take the center plastice paeice off.. the just work it out form there

how do you get that piece out? the one with the shifter on it?

you have to pull out the e-brake piece first because of the way they are attached.

i did i took off the back piece first then the middle cover thing for the ebrake... i got the front piece with the shifter "loose" but i cant get it off... does the boot or chrome piece come off or what?
