you will need another amp for the 12's, and if its not some 12.5 jigawatts deal you will be fine on your stock alt. and please do not buy a cap they are useless, save the money or put it towards a different mod.

He is real big into the Kinetik batteries, from what I've picked up from his other posts. I'm thinking about getting a Kinteik as well. Any recommendations on which one Emp?

This is what I'm thinking for a set-up...2 12" Solobaric L5's...1200w RMS between the two of them. Thinking about running the Kinetik as the main battery, and the stocker in serial as a secondary, with the amps powered off the Kinetik and other electronics off the other. Thinking HC1400, but not sure here.

this isn't going to be worth it, and if someone can tell me if it is ok to post links to outside articles i will. but:

I do know, I have competed in auto sound since the 90's off and on, or at the very least built my installs to follow the IASCA rulebook. if you want to drop name brands:
Eclipse, premier, alpine, mb quart when they were good, OZ audio back when, Rockford when they were built like tanks, Kicker (the first solobarics) PPI art series, Memphis, DLS, Image Dynamics, Arc Audio, Rainbow, Zapco (saved the best for last)

caps do help. . . make more money for the brand you bought.

oh what the hell:

lessons 3, 4, and 5 although the lesson with a 9v battery is interesting as well.

to the original poster, everyone is in agreement you'll be fine. so enjoy

oh and no offense taken, i hope you're not either

yup carquest NGT Extreme. It was 90 with a battery as core charge. Cheapest you could normally get a optima yellow is ~160

Actually i will normally recommend the carquest NGT-Extreme more because of the price.... simply enough it can be found pretty much anywhere for a bomb deal. Kinetik batteries are the **** thou. I have them for my secondary electrical system and they are awsome but they are expensive. Are they worth it? If you have the elecrical demand for them yes but many dont. I also wouldnt wire the second battery in series.
