For those of you with Video/DVD Decks..

Well I finally found how to bypass the e-brake sensor on my deck and can now watch movies and music videos in my car.. BUT

I'm wondering how you burn music videos onto a dvd.. They are in Mpeg and AVI format.. The movies were working and they were burn't but i know they were done right... For the music videos I just burned a "Data" DVD and put them on.. It hooked in my home DVD player but not the in-dash player..

Any help guys?

I could be that your home DVD player can play other formats like VCD like most do, and your in dash DVD player with only play DVD and CD.

you should have an option on your burning software that will allow you to burn a video dvd. nero i know allows this.

ive wondered this as well... i have nero and ive herd everyone say it can be done but if video dvd is selected then it only accepts the dvd format (vob i think)

no, it takes the video and encodes them into dvd format. you can even set up your own menus.

I think I got it figured out. I'll let you guys know as soon as I put the deck back in today. And I did use nero.
