my trunk doesnt really rattle. It's the rear deck where the rear speakers are mounted, and the spoiler seems to shake when the bass hits. Some guy at an audio shop said he can soundproof the rear deck and the trunk lid, for about 60 bucks.

I noticed a strange rattle the other day and assumed it was my trunk lid. The more I looked into it I realised it was my antenna had been jolted loose I'm assuming because of the constant pounding. I would assume with the system you have installed it's the lid itself but it might be worth inspecting your antenna to make sure it isn't on the verge of falling off .

The main rattles will probably be the rear deck lid and the child seat anchor caps. I dynamatted the whole rear deck lid and siliconed all the caps closed. This got rid of most of the rattles, I found dynamatting the trunk lid under the carpet worked really well too, along with the license plate itself.

Ive got to dynamat my trunk of something. When the bass hits really hard you can see the trunk lid seperating from the seal big time... and the trunk lid resonates really really bad. Sounds horrible.
