I just got one of these for christmas, and in the instructions it says there should be a charging resistor or bulb that is also used for discharging but it was not in the package. Anyone have any idea what type of resistor/bulb this is? If I can find out I'm sure I can get my hands on one. Any idea why it wouldn't be in the package? I do have to have it to charge the cap correctly, right?

 

yes, go to radio shack and get a 470 ohm resistor. they come in a pack of like 10 for $1. if you dont get that, i think you can use a ciruit tester, the one with the little lights inside, but im not sure on that.
