That is the f***ing coolest deck I've ever seen (not that I've looked around much). I want one realllllly bad now, DVD playback, DVD Nav, system monitoring... that's sweet. It would be nice if the Cobalt had DVD Nav as an option, but in a compact car that doesn't have a wreath and shield on the front I'm not gonna expect that from GM.

I agree it's distracting but I definetly like the GPS fucntion. I wouldn't like something like that because you would have to mount it to low on the dash to use safely IMO.
You're going to have install issues.......GM typically uses what's called a double DIN or a DIN and a half. The screen you got is a DIN. Now for most cars they make adapters that replace the extra space with a blank panel or a storage pocket of sorts so you'll have to search for that. Also, if you're getting an SS, then it come's with the factory amplified Pioneer setup which will not be friendly with the deck you got. Infact, it'll be a downright pain in the ass where you'll have to run a lot of dedicated line.......trust me on this. If you're handy with electronics and fabricating you'll be allright. If not, you need to get a shop that deals with totally custom autosound. Places like Best Buy's install team isn't equipped to do it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I figure you should probably have a heads-up.

you should use the second dash for an in car computer, they make them to fit in a single din, that would be killer, later on you can get an OBDII scanner and hook it up to the computer in your car to monitor practically everything, screw what they have built into the deck, it's probobly worthless
