tv/dvd setup? direct fitment

I knot that they make setups with the flip out tv in the dvd player. But I wanna do a custom setup. And was woundering if there are any tv's that's fit directly where the factor headunit is. Jus a tv by itself and then put the dvd/cd player somewhere else. Has anyone done this yet? Also are there any touchscreen tv that are like this

I bought a Panasonic CQVD6503U not exactly what I wanted, (I wanted an Eclipse with navigation) but I got it for $400. I'm happy with it so far, it is a double din with touch screen, plays dvds and cds of course, has bluetooth connectivity, has ipod connection, and inputs for other sources including a tv tuner.

why would you want a TV in there, and all that useless space behind it....and have to wire it to another area where you have to have another big bulky unit?
