What size is the heated seats plate under the factory stereo? I have the Recaro seats that don't come heated, so I've got this blank plate. I was wondering if I could remove it and install some navigation equipment or something. I want to keep the factory stereo - anybody remove that plate and put something in there? Help! lol

 

There is nothing behind that blank plate. It gives you almost a full inch of extra space to put another head unit in.

 

Sweet - thanks! Do they make an aftermarket bezel for that spot, or just the radio part? Or should I just get the universal one and cut to what I need? I'm pumped now - my wife is Japanese and her dad thinks my car is t3h craps without navigation, lol....
(for those who dont know, in car GPS navigation has been standard in most japanese cars sold in japan for the last 5 years or so)

 

Just remind him you are in Canada and 'we'all don got no fancy cooputer helpin' devices

 

GPS is highly overrated IMO.

 

yeah......well a blank plastic plate is certainly not that great either. I just want to know my options for this little spot. I thought about a few things and navigation or maybe a screen for DVDs.....but dont really know yet. Think I'll go to the local stereo shop and ask around
