Almost anything id say. From akon to eminem. Maroon5. I also like rock music like shinedown. Creed. 3 doors down. Foo fighters and a little godsmack. Tool. I like quite the variety of music. I dont know what they were playing in the pumpkin smd video but those seemed pretty badass too.

Hopefully you got them from sonicelectronix otherwise you may have payed too much. From my experience they have the cheapest RF **** with a warranty.

this is what i think i'm gunna go with in terms of amps.

For mids/highs - Rockford Fosgate Prime 250-4 (its 40x4 @ 4 ohm) or (65x4 @ 2 ohm)

For sub(s) - Rockford Fosgate Prime 500-1D (its 250x1 @ 4 ohm) or (500x1 @ 2 ohm), this gives me the flexibility to either run 2 light subs or one strong one.

I'm kinda thinkin about just getting one Punch stage 3 2 ohm. that thing would be perfect with that amp.

What yall think? Its very reasonable price range as well.
Good entry setup, just remember if you ever want to get very crafty and add to your current components... not replace... you can run each channel in parallel (assuming what you get is also 4 ohm) and run it all at two ohm loads. Also the P3 will be fine in either box but you seem to want a decent SQL setup so I would run sealed. Also I have never used RF's calculator, for a simple square/wedge you can use the12volt.com's calculators. For some crazy **** you could check this website's calculator's out.

thanks guys i appreciate all the help. and yes i did definitely by from sonic electronics. their deals were pretty damn good. like 100$+ off of most MSRP. I think i'll be happy with it. if I do want to go with more bass down the road i'll prolly snag another 500-1d and a p3 but i believe i'll be content with these. and yes i ordered the p3d4-10

heres a good question for you guys. would it be better to fabricate a box built into the lay of the intended area such as fiberglassing everything or would it be easier/better to build a box out of MDF and then build the front face and surrounding "cover plate" out of fiberglass?

anything is better than stock. even the stock pioneers were garbage. in fairness i don't think good speakers are that expensive. i mean if your not going into competitions or anything you could get a good set for a very reasonable price range.

Honestly it would be easier to build one from 3/4 MDF although I am not sure what you are refering to making a "cover plate" from glass. Especially if you want to build box specs to the woofer. If you want a design more tucked like the stock sub then glass where you want it. Just remember when glassing put some plastic wrap or foil(what I perfer)down so the box doesn't stick to your carpet... Don't skimp out on the foil either, I usually do two layers just to make sure.

i show a lot so i'd like a more cleaner but still custom look, yanno not just a box. so if i built say the entire box but didn't build the front of it and instead fab'd out the sides and where I wanted to cover an then made the entire front glass that way it still gives the look of a fully glass box but it will have the box built behind it so it has the exact specs that the subwoofer requires to operate at peak perameters.

i'd be open to doing the entire thing in glass but i don't think it would come out to spec and putting a box inside glass would only inhibit the bass so building just a glass front would be optimal right?

in most cases as far as bass is concerned a square box is louder then any random weird shape. but random weird shapes have advantages such as space savings

but i could box the back and glass the front and it would still look custom yet have the box sound , that may end up being a good choice I think, it would also be much easier to do versus a full box out of glass for my first glassing project.

o yea, hurricane sandy is delaying the arrival of my products. damnit.

In the car i have a 12'' pioneer shallow sub. pioneer amp.
Specifics below...
Pioneer TS SWX310 powered by Pioneer GM D7500
yes i know shallow boxes suck but i like my trunk space!
and it hits hard enough for my taste

waiting to go in car
Rockford Fosgate Punch P1692 6x9''
door speakers
Rockford Fosgate P1675 Punch 6.75''

i want to order the Rockford Fosgate Prime R300-4 300-Watt Multi-Channel Amplifier
to power just the door speakers and shelf speakers. it sends 50rms and they are rated for 75 and 60. hoping it will turn out well

headunit i where im lost, want a pioneer 1400dvd but not sure.

SUGGESTIONS AND EXPERIANCES PLEASE!

lol. thats a lot of luck requesting goin on. thats pretty cool what you said about a remote wire being in the middle of your rca's that beats the hell outta running a separate wire just for remote. if i were you i'd start wiring now, lol. not that its hard tho.

hopefully i get my stuff tomorrow. the hurricane delayed my **** so i'm a little perturbed but o well.

its gonna be 60 dollars on saturday? nice! lol. to make a box is actually easy if your just going standard box. probably a lot cheaper as well. just get the specs from factory on what volume it should be and what box type it works best for your needs and the box wizards (calculators) allow you to add in measurements to fit your tastes and it will spit out the volume that will be in the box that way you can get as close to the volume required while still fitting box length x width x height to what will suit you best. 3/4 MDF is reasonably cheap.
