ok is it personal preference or does it matter the way the sub faces. I.E the magnet inside the box or facing out. at my stereo store they had my setup on display iwth the magnet out but on my setup its in the box. its loud but i didnt know if there was a reason to this

 

Typicly they are installed magnet out for show purposes. I dont believe it has any impact on SQ or anything.

 

thats what i was thinking but i might try it in my car just to see. unless someone states otherwise then i wont bother with it

 

hell ya inverted will def effect sq. SPL or overall volume wont change much. inverted leaves more room in the box which will sometimes get you louder but sq is greatly effected because you hear alot more noise that you wouldnt hear if the sub was in the box normally

 

which way would u have it? its a alpine type r 12 in a box they called an 'echochamber'

One thing to remember about audio in general: It's all personal preference. Cause what might sound awesome to me, might sound like crap to you.

It'll save you space if you have them in the box. But from the name of the box it sounds huge anyways. Post up pix when your done

i didnt get a chance to do it today... -1*f isnt the ideal weather lol hopefully tomorrow or sometime this week might be better, but ill get pics of the installs and the inside of the box so yall can see it. in theroy it works in my head but whether or not the screwed me just slapping something together ill let yall decide
