What am I missing?

I just installed the set of retro's that I've been working on for a couple months. I used a RetrofitSource relay harness and plugged the pigtail labeled "Projector" into the wires that run off the solenoid on the cutoff shield in my Morimoto Mini H1's.

No matter what I do the cutoff shield will not move when I flip on the highbeams, I tried switching the wires on the projector plug with no luck. I get about 11 volts at the projector plug when the high beams are on.

Did both of my solenoids take a crap within the last 2 months or am I overlooking something?

I am running into this same issue as well with my retros.. Its dark out by me, but I was going to try and rotating the connectors as well to see if that fixes it... Ill see what kind of voltage I get to.

You mentioned you tried switching the wires on the plug, were the wires that you switched the blue/white/beige ones?

There's a certain order that those wires need to be in harness for the high beams to work and there is a way to test your solenoids. I am to lazy to post the pictures as it's late, go to this thread to see what I am talking about:

If the link doesn't work, search for the thread "FXR" under the "How to Guide" section you'll see what I am talking about.

But, my set up came from buyhids.com I am pretty sure they are already done like this. I think mine will work when I flip the connectors as when I try to flip to high beams they flicker but they dont open.. I bet the polarity is just wrong.

Ok, flopped the connectors, still no go... I am at the same issue. I get voltage at the connector but the solenoids wont flip... So... what does that mean, I am about to jump the wiring harness and us direct battery power to see if it works... any one try this, will I burn up my solenoids if they end up do working but the battery power fries them?

So Joepackersrock, make sure to check the plug on your wiring harness, because I flopped the pins and the high beams worked. everything is working no problem.

almost all TRS 9007 harness's are wired for 9004. Some come swapped some dont. We drop ship so we cannot access them before hand

Issues to look out for:

1. Harness's are wired as 9004. Try swapping the blue/white wires on the harness in the blue plug. Some are different colors and off the top of my head i dont remember which.
2. Some harness's (Mostly early ones) the Projector and ballast wires are mis-labeled. Try swapping
3. Your wires coming from the headlight are backwards in the 9006 plug OR the pins are slightly bent not making a connection.
