I wanted the 15 inch 4 ohm version of the Type X, damned guy at the audio shop talked me into buying a T1 even though I argued with him. The Alpine Type-Rs I had sounded awesome and I regret it completely. The RF T1 has like no clarity, lol.

Well, you could epoxy it in place. But that wouldn't be nice if anyone else was going to drive your car, lol. I just don't worry about it until I've gotten tired of the heavy bass and have a pretty good headache, then I flip it back up. Cant see out any of the mirrors at all anyways while the bass is going.

Still a work in progress because Mr. Murphy and his damn law have caused every possible thing to go wrong. Its been a month an a half and I'm still not done... When it does get finished up it will be:

Pioneer 3200BT head unit
Polk db6501's up front
Polk db691's in the rear
Kicker ZX350.4 for the speakers
Two Kicker 10" l7 subs
Kicker ZX1500.1 for the subs
200 amp alternator and a yellow top

Its quite possible to get your stock one modded. I can get my stock alternator recoiled to 200 amps by a local electric motor shop that deals with big industrial motors and alternators for like $80. Now I'm not sure if the regulator would like this or not, but it shouldn't bother it too badly since its mostly monitoring voltage.

Nate at excessive amperage. He did one for my old Firebird and it worked out great. However like I said everything has gone wrong on this install. The first one I got had the wrong connector on it. The new one I got back has a smaller pulley which I understand but I need to get a new belt for it to fit. Once I do that everything should be ok with the alternator. Then I just have to sort out everything else....
