2 12" kicker comps but need a amp, any suggestions?

 

If you want to keep it Kicker go ZX400 Ive never had a single issue with it and I used to have it playing 2 kicker cvr12s in a sealed box.

i beg to differ...unless u put the T1 in the right sized box tuned to w/e kind of music u listen to it sounds great and it will get VERY loud for what it is...ive suprized MANY people with my setup

My setup consist's of Alpine x305s H/U, JL C5-650 Components, Alpine PDX 4.100, Hifonics Brutus 1600 watt, 2 10" RF T1 Dual 4's (wired at 1 ohm) in a 3cu.ft. box with the port tuned to 38hz


i plan on getting 2 DD 9510z's, box size is undetermind yet with the port tuned to 35hz with 2 AQ 3500.1D's (4k @ 1ohm each) strapped and wire the subs down to 1 ohm, 2-3 XS Power d3100's, and possibly a 250-300amp MECHMAN H.O. alt with lots of 0 guage

EDIT: o and forgot to mention lots and LOTS of damplifier pro

 

u db seekers crack me up man. though, without you guys, us sq guys wouldn't have the current modern higher power systems.

Your 10s probably sound pretty good. But a T1 15 sounds like ****. I had a prebuilt box and made a custom one that still sounded like ass. Don't get me wrong, it's loud, but I spent 400 on that sub when I could have gotten 2 Cvr 15s with a lot more clarity and louder bass. My two Thunder 8000 series SVC 15s sound way better and hit a lot harder than the T1 ever though of.

 

Do u still have the specs of the custom box built for the t1?

 

your T1 probably needs a better box or more power.

I'm running a Old Sony ES 5 channel amp, with Diamond Audio D6 components in back and Infinity Kappa Perfects in front. Has a 10" Rockford Shallow P3 in the stock box, and a Pioneer Avic F900BT head unit.

Probably going to a pair of JBL amps, a MS-A1004 and a MS-A5001, and then a JBL 660GTi fronts (or C608GTi MKII) and a JBL W12GTi sub in a sealed box.

 

I checked kickers site and it shows on there. It lists for about 150 if you search through google

 

how are you liking that amp?

woah i missed that one. um ya ud need to put alot of money into the electrical to not fry those amps and those subs might be be able to handle the power but mmm idk

yo brick....for the setup you're running did you tinker with your alternator at all? j/w because i'm getting a new setup quite similar to yours....same mono and a new fully loaded fi btl....input from empjj would be nice too, although i'm never going to have the same god tier dual alt setup as him, i need some advice on alt. amperage output and whether or not i need to upgrade. going dual kinetiks and doing the big 3 so i don't know if its necessary.

 

my alt is stock....i can make my voltage drop to 12v easy though so an alt would be a worthwile upgrade

 

Mine is 6 1/2 3 way Kickers in front doors, 3way Sony 6x9s in rear deck.
All running off factory HU.
10 Inch Memphis sub in a Factory sub box running off 400 watt Rockford Amp.

oh lol i didnt realize it was u speedy.... u should just do one of those amps at 1 ohm. If if if you do t strapped don't get dual 4s at 1 ohm get dual 2s and run it at 2


running amps a .5 draws way more current then 1 ohm for not that much more power. the zs will only take that power if its 100% clean and even then its pushing it. you would need my electrical system + some to get 8k clean watts running at 1 ohm per amp. for 9k at .5 per amp isnt going to work for very long. the subs or amp will take a hit quick and they aren't too cheap to recone

 

yea i was thinking about that at work today i dont really feel like reconing the Z's after hammering on them time after time demo after demo so i may jus stick with 1 amp for now until i can figure something out later on...who knows i may get a SAZ-4500d...i donno yet im still deciding on the amp and the electrical to back it up...maybe sometime by december or january ill start on this project...when my funds allow me to
