Really?
Is that how yours are running or is it a whole different story when you switch to a 16 volt system.

Brickloaf- I'd upgrade the Alt before I put another battery in. One good battery can handle the system as long as the alt can keep it charged.
If you put another battery in then your alt with have to work twice as hard to keep them going. If its already under strain due to the system then this will only add to the problem plus for 1500 watts I don't really think a second battery is needed IMO

yup mine are in parallel as long as you drive the car often its the best situation. you normally loose 1v+ running thru the isolator alone and if your fully draining a battery something is wrong anyway. the isolator would just cover that up

well 2 batteries are normally better then one but is always 100% better to have 2 of the same batteries. If you have one good one and one trashed one its worse then just the one good one.
